Our Story

In May of 2018, Bakes by the Lake began as a booth at the Orillia Farmers Market where mother and son team Nancy and Colton McIsaac began selling gluten and diary free baked goods to Orillia's market going public. With the growing encouragement and support of the farmers market community, in winter of 2018 Bakes by the Lake opened its doors at 178 Missisaga St E as a full service bakery & cafe! Today BBTL is a team of 5 dedicated individuals working hard to provide a wide variety of quality gluten free, vegan products and services including Sunday brunch, fresh baked bread, custom cakes, confectionery and so much more!
